L’attente n’est pas la même, lorsqu’on patiente pour voir atterrir un engin en provenance du cosmos, que pour voir le même outil s’envoler sur orbite. Au décollage, c’est l’excitation de la puissance. A l’atterrissage, c’est l’exaltation de la mission accomplie. L’apaisement. Les secondes ne s’égrainent pas la même chose. A mesure qu’on s’approche du lancement, elles compriment. Plus la navette s’approche de la terre, plus le temps s’étend. S’entend. Vous savez, c’est un peu comme lorsqu’on est sous les drapeaux militaires. Sauf que ce moment, on a envie de le prolonger. Pour que la mission dure, dure encore. Pour qu’il y ait toujours une navette en l’air. Allez, Atlantis, reviens-nous quand même.

T minus 7 hours and counting (11pm local, 5am Switzerland). The wait is not the same when patient to see a landing craft from the cosmos, that same tool to see a shuttle fly in orbit. Lift-off, it's the thrill of power. On landing, it’s the exaltation of the mission accomplished. The appeasement. The second doesn’t counting not the same. As we approach the launch, these second compress. More the shuttle approaches the Earth, more the time is longer. Means. You know, it's like when you are under the military flags. Except that this time, we want to extend it. For the mission continue, continue and continue, yet. For there is always a shuttle in the space. Go, Atlantis, come back anyway.
