Bref, tout cela pour vous signaler le Marathon et Demi-marathon de la Space Coast qui s’est tenu hier Ă Cocoa. Non pas, Cocoa
Beach (« coco-bitch ») ni cacao, mais Cocoa, tout simplement. Cette
44e course annuelle le long de l’Indian River a connu un succès fou,
soit 7'119 participants ! Il a quand mĂŞme fait chaud, chaud les baskets
hier, +30 degrés C. à tout casser et humide, très humide. Seulement voilà .
Lorsque j’ai voulu venir voir la chose sur les lieux, la place du vieux village
de Cocoa (11’300 d’habitants) Ă©tait dĂ©serte. Savez-vous pourquoi ? Parce
que les athlètes en lice avaient une longueur d’avance sur moi. C’Ă©tait la
course des lièvres et de la tortue arrivĂ©e le lendemain…

Oh, my dears, that’s really sport !
Running on the Space Coast of Florida is something that I dream. But… as I'm
not a marathon runner at heart let alone walk, especially the big climbs,
Fulvio Pilotti, my runner expert buddy, seems to me that the experience would
be suitable for me. Oh, don’t doubt! Although I find it difficult to climb the tot

Well, all this to tell you about the SpaceCoast and Half Marathon, held yesterday in Cocoa (not the beach !). This
44th annual run competition along the Indian River was a wild success or 7'119
participants! It nevertheless hot yesterday +79 F and very humid. But when I
wanted to come and see the race, instead of the old village of Cocoa (11’300 people)
was deserted. Do you know why ? Because athletes vying had a head start on me.
It was the race of the hare and the tortoise (me) arrived too late the next day
...
