A test flight with shuttle astronauts
Unusual. For its testing, NASA has invited about thirty U.S. and international journalists to live A to Z (from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) a full take-off of the sapce shuttle Atlantis (STS 135) and follow tehe astronautes with their adventure from the Earth to orbit. And so, from the shuttle simulator to Misson Ceontrol Center (the room of shuttle) I’d like to say it’s not easy to obtain a pass for this event for the foreign journalists. Because in Switzerlan, each reporter must ask a VISA type I (media) to their Embassy. After the presentation of my passeport (or ID) and my signed official entry, I received my accreditation card. On it, it’s specified « Director’s Guest, Escort Requiered » explains that I must be escorted with a bus (or a car) to go this high trainning site.
Just a detail. I regretted not having my professionnal photo equipment (Canon 1D mark 4 + lens-zoom 70-200, 2.8) - (following)
