Ola ! ULA urges
NASA to get moving for choose which commercial spacecraft to
launch astronauts

Another event went almost unknown : it’s the U.S. National
Press Club that took place in Washington on this Tuesday Dec. 6. The big boss
of the United Launch Alliance (ULA), a Joint Venture formed five years ago by
aerospace giants Lockheed martin and Boeing, was allowed to pin NASA !
So, ULA Chief urges NASA to get moving. « Stop spending
on likely losing bidders », he says. And that about a decision for the
final choice of the future commercial manned capsule. Four contenders are
still in contention to obtain the favors on NASA, namely : Boeing (CST-100
capsule), Sierra Nevada (small-smart
shuttle), Blue Origin (a rocket that goes up and down, to) and Space-X
(with their rocket-capsule Falcon 9-Dragon). ULA, which oversees the
launch of the Atlas V (whose the last rover MRL Curiosity) would be and, and
it’s understandable, to better organize.
You will say again that this does not affect you a lot, yet it should. In
this case, the venerable NASA responds like the Swiss people tradition. Helvetian (as
I am), have the trend towards to take the time (eh, we
are watchmakers), to fully en better decide. Right ? Ola, NASA,
move !
