Il fait bien 42,2 degrés ! - Photo : rke |
16e tir US.

attarder trop longtemps. Et me voilĂ Ă Tucson, ville universitaire de
l’Arizona.
A bientĂŽt.

It was for the Independence Day. - Photo : rke |
It was necessary. I took a good day to achieve
the production of Swiss
Engineering RTS monthly magazine because August approach. After nine days
in Pasadena, I was looking forward to back on the road. The way is long to
Florida, and so still 2'551 miles. I must be there for the launch of SpaceX to
the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) where I can attend to my 16th rocket U.S.
« shoot ». And then I was a
little tired of driving all the time on highways of « six runways » and
I was happy later with my « narrow » highways of two tracks.
While driving, I saw by chance the Palm Springs wind farm where I
unfortunately did not have time to stop. This farm Col San Giorgino is located
in Riverside County on I-10. This is one of the largest parks in California
with those of Altamont and the Tehachapi Pass. In January 2008, the farm
consisted of 3'218 wind turbines totaling 615 MW.

Then I had to stop to refuel. And then the furnace.
Leaving my Kia 4x4 I felt the oppressive heat of 108 degrees F. After a minute,
I got accustomed anyway. And then, finally, after eight days (except Monday) I
could finally see big cumulus cloud in a clear blue sky ... but ultimately did
not give the expected freshness. And coincidentally, again, I came across the
museum to the memory of General George
S. Patton in World War II. Again, no time to dwell on it too long. And now
I’m in Tucson, the Arizona University Town. This Friday, July 8 departure to
Las Cruces at the doors of Mexico ... See y’soon.
