During this perfect orbit of Juno Monday, July
4 I have not had time to get out of the space center to see what was happening
outside during the 240th anniversary of the US, so I was busy writing to you
and especially to be present with the guests as well as conferences. So, when I
finally left, around 1 am the next day, I still could see the last fireworks,
visible even from afar. The next day I looked in vainly for a local newspaper,
because there is very rarely in boxes on the roadside, hotels or shops.
Eventually I had to go to the nearest mall Target shopping center. There, I found
the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday, July 5, the day after Independence Day, and,
surprise, I have not seen any news of the orbit Juno ! « We had a significant
broadcast on TV and social media, » noted a press officer of JPL, also
surprised like me that the non-recovery of the event by the media papers. Oh, as
times have changed. But even if the traditional media are growing apart, the
interest for space is always full.

Switzerland anyway, curiosity remained the
appointment of Juno. During a special conference given by J. Schmidt Men, freelance Space Science writer at the Werk-1 hotel in the Canton of Saint-Gall
(northeast of Swiss), I had the privilege of being interviewed in live via
Skype from JPL on a giant screen in a room, who, me-you are told, was packed. I
sincerely want to thank Hermann Duer from Berthoud (central of Swiss) for promoting
the conference and Geri Boller from Wald (North of Zurich) for the organization
of the film (below cons). And thousand thanks to Mem J. Schmidt, to whom I
address my cordial greetings and I hope
he comes one day with me on the heart of NASA
at an event. And so we can broadcast our impressions to… Jura. !
