Tout est OK, les réservoirs se remplissent de leur oxygène et hydrogène. On craint la météo. Les experts donnent 30% de chance qu’Atlantis s’envole. Jérôme et maintenant stationné à 12 miles de la navette (20 km) au centre orthodoxe St Stefen Christian Retreat Center de Titusville, un centre de retraite catholique orthodoxe qui l’a accepté sur son terrain (je reviendrai prochainement sur ce sujet). Pour ma part, je suis installé le plus près possible d’Atlantis, soit 3 miles (5 km), voir plan. Il fait nuit noire, les nuages semblent se dégager. La navette est illuminée au loin par les projecteurs. On la distingue nettement. Quel beau spectacle. Il est 4 heures du matin. On attend patiemment comme le compte à rebours qui s’égraine.

Take-off, still scheduled for 11:26 (5:26 p.m., Swiss time), is running. Everything is OK, the tanks filling of oxygen and hydrogen. It’s feared the weather. Experts suggest 30% chance Atlantis flies. Jerome is now stationed at 12 miles from the Shuttle (20 km) at the St Stefen Christian Retreat Center in Titusville, a retreat center orthodox Catholic who accepted it on his site (I'll be back soon on this subject). For my part, I am installed as close as possible to Atlantis, which is 3 miles (5 km), see plan. It’s pitch black, the clouds seem to emerge. The shuttle is illuminated by floodlights in the distance. It is clearly distinguishable. What a great show. It’s 4 o'clock in the morning. We wait patiently the countdown.
