L’histoire me demande.
Jérôme come back to Switzerland and Roland stay in runway of Atlantis
The news of the day is the come back of Jerome Hirth, my godson, to Switzerland. After almost three weeks with me, he's now back to the fold. With a little bit of nostalgia, I took him from Titusville to Miami (218 miles) on this Tuesday, July 12. He lived the shuttle launch this July 8, the firefighters discovered in the Fort Lauderdale and Cape Canaveral, met with alligators, eat in the U.S., but not for lack of time, have done all that envisaged, especially to go to Houston to visit Christine and Leonard Bachmann. During the twenty days of presence, I was a valuable support, moral and as assistant press. It's still a small gap back to the hotel and not be able to knock at the door of his room to invite him to eat at the buffet area for $ 7 all-inclusive. Jerome is a fan of American food. He absolutely loves it so much that he believes the U.S. McDonald's fries bester than Switzerland. And the hotdogs or steaks, and desserts, too. To top, it did not take a gram !
For my part, I decided to stay in Cape Canaveral to track, since the press center, the end of the Atlantis shuttle mission, and especially to attend the scheduled landing July 21 at 6am local time . This will be the last time this « iron, truck space », hover and land on our good old planet. History wonder. After thirty years of follow up, I must be there. I can tell you better the adventure of this machine that comes home and will go to the museum. Keep me faithful on this blog.
