Space shuttle Atlantis has conquered the land… its new home in the museum at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The spaceplane is located in the building, still under construction, an adjacent complex to the simulator launched « Shuttle Lauch Experience » of KSC. The lucky visitors had the opportunity to see Atlantis inside : the 3, 5 and November 10 to 11 from 9am to 5pm. To get there, it’s necessary to follow the path that leads to the famous simulator and enter in a corridor at the opposite direction, then turn right. Thus we leads in the hangar that closely resembles at the internal infrastructure of the VAB, except that it smells new !
In front of us, Atlantis is still lain its his funny 76 wheels tractor. At the top left is open a wide oval hole to accommodate a full size replica of the Hubble Telescope. On 12 November, the passageway will be closed until the official opening of the building in July 2013.
Do you want that I return to the KSC to narrate the story ?
