Mitt Romney wants to restore the prestige of NASA. But with wich money ? - Photo : rke |
U.S. elections ? Bah, it’s not my ardor. However, I have
to be interested in a little bit. First of all, because the policy is the basis
of everything. Secondly, because the U.S. space program (like others elsewhere)
depends on politicians. Except that I’m wrath against Obama because he canceled
the Constellation Program to come back on the Moon (as if space exploration is
profitable !), I have nothing to judge the political balance sheet of the
President.
In any case, one thing is certain. Here in Titusville, a
town of 40’000 people, I saw no flags about Obama elections staked on the road.
And I swear that I made many miles. So, I did only the effigies for Mitt
Romney.
Brief, in this story, the Republican candidate said : « Over
the past four years, the Obama Administration, through poor policy and outright
negligence, has badly weakened one of the hallmarks of American leadership and
ingenuity — our nation’s space program ».
In short, Romney wants to restore American leadership and it
passes through the business space and refurbishment of NASA, without increase
in funding. Well, we don’t really know what are the specific facts, but it’s
with good intentiens. Is this just fine words to get elected ?
Like a small Swiss, I think we would have much to teach to
the great Americans. Especially at the level of federalism. They could use.
So I’m not for one (the outgoing) or the other (the candidate).
Ah, those politicos ...
